Teeth Whitening

Who does not want to have a beautiful bright smile with white teeth?

Over the years and because of the consumption of products that stain such as tea, coffee, red wine, and tobacco ... teeth may discolor. They may change from white to yellow or brown. Thankfully, this process is completely reversible. Teeth whitening can give a new shine to your smile!

Tooth whitening at home is done by wearing a custom-made mouth tray in which you have applied the whitening gel.

It should be known that teeth whitening works only on natural teeth. Whitening products will have no effect on fillings, crowns, veneers, and bridges.

Bleaching is contraindicated during pregnancy, while breastfeeding and for children less than 16 years of age. It should also be noted that during the treatment period, all foods that stain such as tea, red wine, and tobacco should be avoided. In particular, the carcinogenic effect of tobacco may be multiplied several times in the presence of peroxide, an active ingredient of the whitening gel.

What we do

First and foremost, the dentist will ensure that you enjoy good oral health: clean teeth without tartar, plaque and stains.

  • The absence of cavities - because whitening gel going through them can irritate the dental pulp producing pulpitis which requires a root canal treatment.
  • The absence of excessive dental hypersensitivity.

Then the dentist takes impressions of the dental arches in order to proceed with the design of the mouth tray. This will be delivered to the patient in a subsequent visit along with the whitening gel kit. During this appointment, the dentist will give the instructions and explain the procedure to follow.
